A floating teleprompter that sits on top of any Android app

Sometimes the app you want to record in is not a teleprompter. TikTok and Instagram have the effects and sounds you need, a pro camera app has the manual controls, and a video call has your audience. The script, meanwhile, is somewhere else.

ViralPrompter's floating window puts the script on top of whatever app is open, as close to the front camera as you want it. You read; the other app records.

How it works

  1. Write or paste your script in ViralPrompter, or pick one you already saved.
  2. Start the floating prompter. The first time, Android asks you to allow “Display over other apps” for ViralPrompter.
  3. Open TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, your camera app or a video call. Drag the window just under the lens, resize it, and start talking.

What the floating window does

Where creators use it

A note on the microphone

Voice Sync needs to hear you. Whether two apps can use the microphone at the same time depends on your Android version and on the app underneath. If that app takes the microphone for its own recording, the floating window keeps scrolling at your set speed, so the script never stops.

Prefer to record in ViralPrompter itself?

The in-app prompter records up to 4K with real-time beauty filters while the script scrolls over the camera view, and Voice Sync shares the same microphone as the recording, so your audio is not affected. Studio-Grade Camera & Filters

Frequently asked questions

Will the floating script appear in my video?
No. The other app records its camera feed, not your screen, so the floating window is only visible to you. It would only appear if you screen-record.
Does it work over the TikTok and Instagram cameras?
Yes. The floating window is a standard Android overlay, so it stays on top of the TikTok, Instagram and YouTube in-app cameras, as well as other camera apps. Android hides overlays on a few protected system screens, such as permission dialogs.
Is there a floating teleprompter for iPhone?
Floating over other apps is Android-only in ViralPrompter. On iPhone, use the in-app prompter, which records up to 4K with Voice Sync and beauty filters.
Does it need an internet connection?
Only to download the speech model for your language the first time you turn on Voice Sync. After that, scrolling and recognition work offline.
